- Arkansas repealed its vehicle inspection chapter in 1997. No safety inspection applies to an ordinary passenger vehicle or light truck at renewal, move-in, private sale, dealer purchase, or after an emissions failure.
- Arkansas operates no vehicle emissions inspection program in any county, so no emissions test or emissions retest applies to this transaction. The 1997 repeal removed the inspection framework.
