VIN / identity inspection: Amount set or confirmed by the listed authority. Florida does not publish one statewide standalone VIN-examination charge because the form may be completed by several authorized verifier types. Confirm any charge with the verifier; title and registration fees are separate.

High-impact exceptions
- Florida has no periodic or event-based safety inspection for ordinary vehicles; the inspection program authority was repealed and ch. 15C-5 was removed effective 2010-04-13.
- Florida repealed its vehicle emissions inspection program effective 2000-07-01 (Ch. 2000-266, Laws of Florida); no county operates an I/M program.
- New vehicles, in-state private sales of Florida-titled vehicles, and ordinary renewals require no separate VIN step.
- The physical VIN-examination statute applies to a used vehicle previously titled outside Florida, not this Florida-title or manufacturer-certificate situation.
